Compensation of Academic Loss Programme (CALP)

The Compensation of Academic Loss Program at Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force Station Akkulam is designed to address and mitigate any gaps in students’ learning due to unforeseen disruptions, such as long absences, school closures (e.g., during the COVID-19 pandemic), or any other situations that cause a loss of instructional time. This program aims to ensure that all students are able to catch up with the curriculum and perform well academically.

    Objectives of the Program
    Bridge Learning Gaps:

To identify and address the specific learning gaps caused by the loss of academic time.
    Revise Core Concepts:

To reinforce and revise essential concepts, ensuring that students have a solid understanding of key subjects.
    Support Weaker Students:

Provide additional support to students who may be struggling due to the academic loss, ensuring that they do not fall behind.
    Ensure Academic Continuity:

To create a continuous learning environment, even in challenging situations, and help students prepare for exams effectively.
Key Features of the Compensation Program
    1. Remedial Classes
Regular Remedial Sessions are organized to help students cover missed portions of the syllabus. These sessions are often scheduled outside regular school hours or during free periods, focusing on subjects where students need extra support, such as Mathematics, Science, and English.
    2. Individual Attention to Students
Teachers identify students who need more help and provide individual attention during remedial classes. Small group tutoring may also be offered to ensure that students can catch up on specific topics they find challenging.
